Audi Q7

Audi Q7

The Audi Q7 sets standards in the sport utility vehicle (SUV) segment. It ingeniously combines sportiness and versatility, sophisticated technology and the luxury of a premium-class vehicle. On the road it excels with sporty driving performance and dynamism; off-road its uncompromising propulsion is dazzling. The Audi Q7 is the performance SUV from the creator of quattro.

Audi Q7 V12 TDi

Strength. Superiority. Pride. The Audi Q7 V12 TDI quattro indicates at very first glance exactly what it is made of. Powerful lines and a striking face prepare you for extraordinary performance.

The V12 TDI in the Audi Q7 is closely related to the engine that has already twice taken the Audi R10 TDI racing car to overall victory in the Le Mans 24 Hours. As in the case of the racing car, the engine for the high-performance SUV is painstakingly constructed by hand on an assembly stand in the factory in Györ.

The engine captivates its drivers not only with its sheer inexhaustible power but also with its highly cultivated manner of operation – the subtle engine sound takes on a voluminous, strong note when the throttle is open.

The Audi Q7 is propelled with overwhelming superiority and composure by the most powerful diesel engine in its class. When called upon, the six-litre unit catapults the Audi Q7 from nought to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds – just like a prestigious sports car. Speed is electronically capped at 250 km/h.

Fuel consumption and emissions data:
Combined fuel consumption 25.0 mpg; combined CO2 emissions 299 g/km

Q7 Update

Audi Q7 Design

For the Audi Q7, our designers have defined a vehicle concept that is entirely new. The classic, square, two-box design of earlier SUVs has been translated into an individual, flowing shape, and the Audi Q7 boasts one of the most sporty designs in the premium SUV segment. Its proportions, together with the coupé-like roof line and the streamlined rear spoiler, give a dynamic appearance.

You know immediately that this is no normal SUV.

Audi Q7 Exterior styling
Exterior styling
Contrasting lower bumper sections at the front and rear, together with the lower door trims, provide an effective contrast to the paintwork, underlining the robustness of the Audi Q7. The lower zone consists of darker, matt-coloured mouldings as standard, though a special contrasting paint finish with a high-grade metallic paint finish is available as an optional extra.

Interior
The interior of the Audi Q7 reflects the strong character of a performance SUV – driver-oriented and sporty on the one hand, sophisticated and multifunctional on the other. Ingenious design solutions such as bottle holders and storage compartments
in the doors emphasise the blend of practical utility and aesthetic appeal.

Audi Q7 Interior space

Interior Space
The amount of space available, the sense of roominess and the way space is used are key elements in a premium SUV. The Audi Q7 sets new standards, with a competition-beating front shoulder width (1,475 mm), the interior length (1,797 mm) and the remarkable luggage compartment length of 1,201 mm (+80/-20 with adjustable second row of seats) as well as the maximum load area depth of 2,038 mm.

Audi Q7 inlays Inlays
In addition to the optional inlay, Aluminium Marlin silver, three high-grade woods are available – Walnut from America, Tamo ash from Japan and Olive ash from Europe. Meanwhile, optional aluminium-look air outlets, aluminium inserts in the wood trims as well as trim rings or bars on combination surrounds, switches
and control elements add to the air of sophistication.

Audi Q7 wraparound tailgate Wraparound tailgate
The aluminium wraparound tailgate doesn’t just look good, thanks to its dynamically curving shape - in technological terms it’s an innovation. Despite the greater thickness of the sheet metal, its weight is around 7.5 kg less than that of an equivalent version made from sheet steel. As a result, the tailgate is light but sturdy.

Safety Features
The Audi Q7 is equipped according to an intelligent, universal safety concept that recognises the demands imposed on a premium SUV. The impressive range of safety features takes the needs of the driver, the occupants and pedestrians into consideration.

ESP with off-road mode
The electronic stabilisation program (ESP) with off-road mode reacts in 0.02 seconds to bring hazardous situations under control. By monitoring wheel speeds, slip angles and the position of the steering wheel, ESP can apply brakes and reduce power to individual wheels until full traction and control is restored.

Adaptive cruise control
The automatic adaptive cruise control employs a radar sensor to detect preceding vehicles within system limits, and maintains a safe distance in the speed range of 0 to 200 km/h. Included is the braking guard that warns the driver in case of a possible collision with a vehicle ahead by scanning the vehicle’s surroundings.

Xenon plus headlights
The optional xenon plus not only gives the Audi Q7 a even more distinctive look, with LED daytime running lights and turn indicator lights in the front bumper, but also appropriately illuminates the roadway in any driving situation with the additional adaptive light with dynamic cornering, static turning and motorway lights.

Audi side assist
The lane-change assistant Audi side assist employs radar sensors to help the driver identify blind spots and traffic behind the vehicle. A lamp in the outside mirror warns the driver when the side assist considers another vehicle to pose a hazard during a lane change.

Audi lane assist
The lane departure warning system Audi lane assist helps the driver to stay in lane, thus preventing accidents. If the vehicle threatens to wander out of its lane, the assistance system informs the driver by means of vibrations at the steering wheel.

Q7 Design
With a 25-year history of permanent four-wheel-drive innovation, it’s no surprise that Audi’s first SUV offering leaves the competition standing. Advanced petrol and diesel technology lets you power forward efficiently, while the Audi Q7’s adaptive air suspension and Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) ensure the ultimate in off-road handling.

Audi Q7 EPS ESP
The Electronic Stability Programme reacts in 0.02 seconds to bring hazardous situations under control. By monitoring wheel speeds, slip angles and the position of the steering wheel, ESP can apply brakes and reduce power to individual wheels until full traction and control is restored.

Audi Q7 Quattro Quattro four-wheel-drive
quattro is at the core of Audi's innovative technology. Whether you’re on or off-road, quattro distributes power symmetrically when you need it for an agile drive that’s pure pleasure.

Audi Q7 4.2 FSI Audi Q7 3.0 TDI
TDI technology gives this efficient V6 diesel engine fantastic torque and in-gear acceleration. Peak torque is 500Nm and power output of 236PS. Fuel consumption over combined cycle is 10.5 l/100 km and combined CO2 emissions are 282g/km.

Bang & Olufsen Sound System Audi Q7 4.2 FSI®
Experience the breakaway power of a V8 petrol engine with Fuel Stratified Injection technology (FSI). Power output is an impressive 355PS, fuel consumption over combined cycle is 13.6 l/100 km and combined CO2 emissions equal 326g/km.

Audi Q7 Adaptive air suspension Adaptive air suspension
A luxury SUV’s handling must be responsive but also smooth. Adjustable suspension modes - an Audi world first - deliver the superior ride quality and immediacy of response demanded for on and off road driving.

ABT Q7 Orange – a special version of the performance SUV

Abt Sportsline’s presentation of the tuned version of the Audi Q7 coincides with the sales launch of the multifunctional sports car from Ingolstadt

Combined experience: For 25 years Audi has been manufacturing all-wheel driven cars and the successful Kempten-based company Abt Sportsline has been upgrading vehicles for just as long. In the Abt Q7 the know-how of both companies is combined in a car that meets highest demands.

It is more than a mere successor of the legendary Quattro: The Audi Q7 is the perfect car for every opportunity, as it not only is suitable for all terrains, but a convincingly comfortable car for travelling long journeys at the same time. Since the Q7 innately is a true all-rounder, it proves to be a perfect tuning model. Once again Audi supplies the perfect basis for Abt Sportsline’s experts. The vehicle was optically and technically upgraded without changing its characteristic features.

At first glance the Abt Q7 looks brawnier than its original counterpart which is mainly due to the fender extensions lending the vehicle a more powerful appearance. You can tell that it easily masters difficult terrains. The rear wing completes its harmonious look and ensures that the Abt Q7 never loses wheel grip. By means of a two-coloured contrasting paint in white aluminium on the marked front skirt, the elegant rear skirt and side skirts, the Abt SUV reveals itself as an exclusive cruiser. The vehicle sides are eye-catching as a result of the lateral white aluminium insets which give the Abt Q7 unmistakeable features and dignified and agile looks at the same time. The sporting impression is highlighted by the double twin-pipe exhaust system with a pipe diameter of 84 millimetres and the one-piece wheels. Abt Sportsline’s wheels type AR with diamond-machined surface and exclusive exchange system are already available in the sizes 20 or 22 inch with tyres 275/45 R20 or 295/30 R22 Conti CrossContact. Another wheel option is the 22-inch SP-wheel.

Abt Sportsline’s modifications meet all the Q7’s demands, no matter whether off-road, on motor ways or in front of a luxury hotel – the Abt Q7 is the perfect car for every opportunity. Looks and technology form a unified whole; the Abt Q7 does not only look husky, it really is. Abt Sportsline’s engineers succeeded in clearly enhancing the innately powerful 3.0 TDI power unit. The modified six cylinders V-engine now provides 272 HP instead of the standard 233 and an explosive torque of 580 Nm (standard: 500 Nm).

Audi has been manufacturing vehicles with permanent all-wheel drive for a quarter of a century and the Abt Q7 crowns this development. You may look forward to this one-of-a-kind SUV.
