Routine servicing

Regular servicing by an Audi Centre is the ideal way to maintain both the smooth running and the resale value of your Audi.

We pride ourselves on ensuring that you – and your car – receive the very highest level of care and service. No one understands Vorsprung durch Technik like we do, so to book a service with the people that know your Audi best, simply contact your local Audi Centre.

Why is servicing important?

Regular servicing is the way to ensure that your Audi maintains an optimum level of performance during its ownership cycle. A full service history can also enhance the potential resale value of a car.

How often should an Audi be serviced?

There is a choice between time and distance servicing and variable servicing. Please consult with your Audi Centre to determine which servicing programme best meets your needs. For a vehicle being serviced according to time and distance, services will be required at fixed intervals. Where variable servicing is chosen, sensors located within your engine and other working components of the vehicle will inform you when servicing is required.

Routine Service

Our service promise

We believe that your relationship with us shouldn't end when you buy your Audi. That’s why our Audi Service Promise is there to ensure that you receive excellent care and attention throughout your ownership experience.

The experts in Vorsprung durch Technik

Would you entrust your Audi to anyone who hasn’t been regularly trained to Audi standards?

Our network of Audi Approved Master Technicians have undergone an impressive 100,000 hours of training over a 10 year programme to ensure they have the latest technical expertise for maintaining and servicing your Audi.

All of our Service Advisors undergo a specialist induction and training to ensure they are Audi professionals and able to talk to you about any issues you may have with your Audi vehicle.

What’s more, we have so much expertise and experience in looking after Audi vehicles that we are able to make a note of your mileage and the state of your vehicle as and when we see it and predict when certain key events (such as new tyres or a cambelt change) may occur. As part of our duty of care, we will notify you in plenty of time should you wish to make an appointment with us.

Your convenience comes first

At Audi you can choose from a range of convenient services that suit your needs. Why not book a ‘service while you wait’ appointment* and enjoy our complimentary refreshments while your car is with us? Or, if you need to be mobile, take advantage of one of our courtesy cars which we can even collect and deliver to you*. We guarantee we can service your Audi within 5 days without a courtesy car, or within 10 days if you need transport. We will also ensure your car is returned to you with a full wash and vacuum.

Audi Genuine Parts

Would you put a part into your Audi that wasn’t the same quality as the factory fitted original?

You can rest assured that only Audi Genuine Parts will be used on your vehicle. What’s more, Audi parts and labour come with a 2 year guarantee**. We stock a wide variety of parts at our Dealerships so we are well covered. However, if we don’t have a part in stock at one of our Centres we have the back-up of parts at other Audi Centres, at our national warehouse and our factory and can usually source the relevant part very quickly.

We don’t like surprises either

We believe strongly in transparency and there will be no hidden costs. For added peace of mind, we will give you a quotation over the phone for the work you have requested and email you the price confirmation. We’ll consult you if any additional work on your car is needed when it is with us. We won’t carry out any extra work without asking your permission first.

The Audi Stamp

Regular servicing is key to safeguarding your Audi’s performance and a full Audi service history could help you preserve the future re-sale value of your car. Only the Audi Stamp will prove your approved Audi service history.

Getting better every time

Audi continually gather feedback from our highly trained Technicians and our customers to ensure our vehicles are running as they should. If necessary, we use this feedback to make improvements (in the form of software updates) to help maintain the durability, performance, efficiency and safety you would expect from our cars. These updates will also ensure certain retrofitted products are correctly installed and function correctly (tow bar fitting changes the torque characteristics of your engine for example). Should your vehicle require a software update, we can ensure it is loaded onto your vehicle when it is with us.

Maintaining Your Audi

Our Audi Trained Technicians are on hand to help you maintain your Audi in top condition and ensure it goes on delivering the power and performance you expect.

Regular maintenance

Your Audi will require regular scheduled maintenance throughout its life to keep it in great condition. Read on to find out more about the key areas where maintenance of your Audi is most important.

Your Audi tyres
Even tyres with the legal minimum tread depth of 1.6mm can take much longer to stop than new tyres – so regular maintenance is important.

Your Cambelt
The cambelt is one of the hardest working components in an engine. Made from a rubber based compound that deteriorates with time, it should be replaced in good time to avoid serious engine damage.
Cambelt wear is influenced by a number of factors including time, mileage and various sources of contamination therefore it’s essential that it’s replaced at recommended intervals.
We recommend that your cambelt is replaced every 5 years or 75,000 miles, whichever comes first*, to ensure optimum safety and performance.
Cambelt replacement is a complex job but by entrusting your car to us you can be confident that the work is being done by experienced Audi Trained Technicians. And if your vehicle is over three years old, visit our Affordable Servicing section for more information about our exclusive fixed price maintenance offers.
*Not applicable to A2 or V8 RS6 models. Details refer to 2004 model year onwards.

Brake Fluid Change
Like the rest of your Audi, your brakes are beautifully designed and engineered so that day in, day out, they bring you to a safe, smooth stop.
Brake fluid is hygroscopic, which means it absorbs moisture over time, reducing the temperature at which the fluid boils. This in turn could result in increased stopping distances, reduced braking efficiency and potentially brake failure.
Your brake fluid should be replaced every two years* to ensure your Audi keeps stopping as well as it keeps going. And if your vehicle is over three years old, visit our Affordable Servicing section for more information about our exclusive fixed price maintenance offers

Transmission Fluid Change
Your transmission system has been engineered to give you smooth, seamless gear changes. To ensure this is continues it’s key that your transmission fluid is changed regularly.
Transmission fluid acts as both a lubricant and coolant to your transmission system. Everyday wear and tear breaks down the viscosity of transmission fluid making it less effective and potentially causing consequential damage to other components such as the engine.
To ensure your gear changes remain seamless, your transmission fluid should be changed according to your service schedule every 40,000 miles.

Regular maintenance

Health Check

The best way to ensure that your Audi operates smoothly and at peak performance is to ensure that key maintenance items are inspected and changed according to your service schedule.

In between these services it’s also important to carry out regular checks to ensure that wear and tear items are maintained and your Audi stays in top condition,

To help you ensure that key areas of your vehicle are performing as they should be our Audi Trained Technicians are on hand to perform a complimentary Health Check. Our Health Check covers a number of important items including:

  • Oil
  • Coolant
  • Tyres
  • Brakes
  • Lights
  • Battery Condition

They’ll give each area a rating of red, amber or green, indicating any actions and how urgent they are. So along with a complete summary of your car’s condition, you’ll get the added reassurance of dealing with the experts in Vorsprung durch Technik.

MOT Protection

MOTs are a legal requirement in the UK . Currently vehicles aged three years or over must be tested every year. Refer to you local Audi Dealer for latest advice.

We know how much your Audi means to you, so why not have it assessed at an Audi Dealer by the people who know it best? As a valued Audi owner, you can also benefit from MOT Protection when you pay £49.99 for your MOT test.

The annual MOT test can make even the most cool-headed person a little nervous. Our Audi Trained Technicians are on hand to help make this is as simple and painless as possible for you.

If you choose to have your MOT carried out at an Audi Dealer as well as maintain your vehicle in line with the manufacturer’s service schedule, you can benefit from MOT Protection for just £49.99. This covers you for up to £750 (inc. VAT) against a wide range of repairs, should your Audi fail its MOT.

So, although we can’t make the MOT test vanish altogether, we can eliminate some of the worry it may cause.
